The “XR meets Health” Event

On November 14th, 2023, the XR Hub Würzburg and the XR Hub Nürnberg, in collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, presented the online event “XR meets Health“ via Zoom. The event featured a keynote by Andre Brauers from Immersive and Digital Education at Siemens. Following this, attendees were taken on a digital tour through the Chairs of Human-Computer Interaction and Psychology of Intelligent Interactive Systems.

During the event, we showcased demos of VRescue, Homecoming, TooCloseVR, and Resize Me! These demonstrations highlighted how XR can enhance physical and psychological well-being while supporting medical training.

We engaged in an open dialogue to discuss the potential advantages and inherent challenges of integrating XR in healthcare, fostering an insightful exchange of ideas.
