The Summer EXPO 2024 for HCI/HCS, CS and GE was a great success! A large number of visitors were able to experience up to 120 different demos and projects.

Summer Expo 2024

The Expo showcased a diverse array of projects and research that encapsulated the remarkable talent and dedication of the students. The event provided an engaging platform for students to present their posters and interactive demos to faculty, peers, industry professionals, and honored guests. In total, there were approximatley 120 exhibits.

Visit from the minister for digital

We were delighted to welcome Staatsminister Dr. Fabian Mehring.

Bavaria’s Digital Minister Dr. Fabian Mehring inaugurated the EXPO with a speech praising students for advancing technology and highlighting the university’s role in innovation. He explored projects like virtual environments for autonomous vehicles, a smart watch for cognitive impairments, and a VR environment addressing cyberbullying. Dr. Mehring expressed appreciation for the Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) and emphasized Bavaria’s goal to lead in digital technologies, stating that digitalization improves lives and offers economic opportunities.
