XR Expo Stuttgart 2026

The XR Hub Bavaria, including the XR Hub Würzburg, Nürnberg and Munich came together for two days at the XR Expo in Stuttgart on the 27th and 28th of April 2026 to showcase their research and share insights from the world of XR.

The XR Hub Würzburg gave visitors the opportunity to experience the application Virtually Me exploring different visual indicators for authentication in the metaverse, including scenarios where users interact with others in VR, e.g., in virtual chatrooms.

This research explores important topics, such as digital twins and identity theft in the metaverse, which is gaining importance especially through new possibilities of high quality avatar scans and voice cloning.

The XR Hub Nürnberg presented visitors with a very unique Drone Simulator and let them explore how to fly a drone in VR. The XR Hub Munich especially impressed with their wide knowledge of the in’s and out’s of the XR community and provided advice for companies and institutions.
